Economic Development Online Monday Musings - Tax Day Edition
4/18/2011
Pay your taxes today! Economic development news to read while you wait in line.Due to a little known holiday observance, your Federal income tax returns aren't due until today. Interestingly enough, the postage rates went up effectively yesterday - a strange quirk in timing I can't help think that it was designed to punish procrastinators that waited until the absolute last day to send in their return. So if you waited until the last minute, be sure to get on the stick and get them done.

It would be good to note that if you subscribe to our newsletter you get the preview on Fridays so you would've known that you didn't need to file your Federal tax returns on the 15th like normal and spent your weekend relaxing a bit. Unfortunately for Hoosiers, our state income taxes are calculated based on the Federal AGI, so we need to figure out the Federal taxes to pay our state taxes.

If you'd like to receive the preview edition of the newsletter via email, just fill out our subscription form. If you find our content useful please forward this along to a friend or colleague that might be able to benefit from this information as well! We had a great webinar on Using RSS Feeds for Economic Development Time Management. If you want to check out the slide stack they're available for you to view.
